Makhana Kheer with a Crunch

Creamy, rich and loaded with roasted makhana — a celebration in every spoon.

 

🧂 INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup Snackora Raw Makhana
  • 2 cups full-fat milk
  • 2 tbsp jaggery (or sugar)
  • 2–3 green cardamoms (crushed)
  • A few saffron strands (optional)
  • Chopped almonds and pistachios (for garnish)
  • 1 tsp ghee (optional)

🍴 INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Toast the Makhana: Heat a tsp of ghee and lightly roast makhana until crisp. Let it cool and crush coarsely.
  2. Boil the Milk: In a thick-bottomed pan, bring milk to boil. Add crushed makhana, cardamom, and saffron. Let it simmer on low for 10–12 mins.
  3. Sweeten It: Add jaggery (or sugar) and stir until fully dissolved.
  4. Garnish & Serve: Pour into serving bowls. Garnish with nuts. Serve warm or chilled.
